IAS exam Eligibility;-
You must be passed a graduate degree from a recognized university. There is no percentage requirement.Appearing in final year candidates are also Eligible.Your age should be between 21-30 years. IAS exam pattern;-
IAS exam consist Preliminary exam,Mains exam and Interview. Preliminary exam two papers of General studies of 400 marks. Mains exam consist 1600 marks includes any Indian language papers, Essay, General English, General studies and your choosing optional subjects.After clearing these two exam,you will be called for Interview which consist 300 marks.
IAS preliminary exam is conducted by UPSC at 26th may 2013.Mains exam dates in October month.Interview process is done about 2 moths after Mains exam.

It does not matter that you have completed your bachelor's degree in integrated mode or separately .What is matters is that you should have bachelor's degree from a recognized university either in regular or distance mode.
So you are applicable for the Civil services examinations after completing five years integrated engineering course.You can also apply for the exam while pursuing fifth year of the course that is final year of it.
After that just you need to fulfill the age limitations and other criteria which are mentioned as below:
1.Age criteria depends upon the category to which you belong ,the minimum age limit is same for the candidates of all category but the upper age limit is different for the candidates of the different category.
OBC:33 years
General:30 years.
SC/ST: 35 years.
Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.
No of attempts: General:4,OBC:7,SC/ST : no limit.
Friend ,it is good choice but you need to work hard as much as possible because of the fact that it is toughest exam of India and from lacs of candidates ,after the three stages only 300-500 students are selected all Over India.

The essential qualification for the UPSC's CSAT examination is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. If you have done your 5 year Integrated B.Tech course in a recognized university, then you will definitely appear for the examination. But you should also keep in mind the age limit for it.
