The IAS exam includes civil services exam conducted by UPSC every year. To become an IAS one can qualifying the entrance exam successfully.The exam consist of 3 stages.
1.preliminary
2.written
3.Interview
The eligible candidates are apply for the exam through online/offline mode.
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
Age Limit:- For General - 21-30 years, OBC- 21-33 years, For SC/ST- 21- 35 years.
(The upper age limit is relaxed for certain other categories)
Nationality:- Indian
If you are eligible then you should appear the exam.
First you should be appear the preliminary exam. The exam is just a qualifying exam for the final exam & score obtained in this exam are not added to the final result.
Those candidates who have to qualified in the preliminary exam are supposed to take written exam.
In written exams the candidates are allow to choose one optional subjects.
I think you have to select Economics as an optional subject.It is best for you because you have to complete your Graduation degree in economics.It helps you to good preparation.
All the question papers for the exam will be (conventional) essay type.
The exam is very competitive. Good preparation & hard work is necessary to qualifying the exam.Always Remember Hard work is the key of success.
