    IPS is one of the post which you can get through UPSC Civil Services Exam. Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

    For Civil Services Exam you need graduation degree in any discipline from recognized college or University.

    This year(2013) the last date of Receipt of application form is already gone so you have to wait for the release of Notification for Civil Services-2014 Exam.

    Phases Of Civil Services Exam:
    1. Prelims(CSAT)
    2. Mains
    3. Interview

    Scheme for the Preliminary and Main Examinations
    A. Preliminary Examination
    The Examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.

    B. Main Examination
    The written examination will consist of the following papers:

    Paper-I

    Section 1 Essay 200 Marks
    Section 2 English Comprehension
    & English Pr�cis 100 Marks
    (Of Matriculation/ Xth standard
    level)

    Paper-II

    General Studies�I 250Marks
    (Indian Heritage and Culture,
    History and Geography of the World
    and Society)

    Paper-III

    General Studies �II 250 Marks
    (Governance, Constitution,
    Polity, Social Justice and
    International relations)

    Paper-IV

    General Studies �III 250 Marks
    (Technology, Economic Development,
    Bio-diversity, Environment, Security
    and Disaster Management)

    Paper-V

    General Studies �IV 250 Marks
    (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude)

    Paper-VI

    Optional Subject � Paper 1 250 Marks

    Paper-VII

    Optional Subject � Paper 2 250 Marks

    Sub Total (Written test) 1800 Marks

    Personality Test 275 Marks.
    Grand Total 2075 Marks



    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit

    Eligibility for IPS officer:

    Educational Qualification
    :- Degree in any stream from recognized institution.

    Age Limit :- The minimum age is 21 years for all category and the maximum age is given below for all category.

    For General candidates :- 21 to 30 years.

    For SC/ST candidates :- 21 to 35 years.

    For OBC candidates :- 21 to 33 years.

    For PD candidates :- 21 to 40 years.

    You have three rounds

    >>Prelims

    >>Mains

    >>Interview.

    Dear Aspirant

    In order to become an IPS officers you have to crack the prestigious civil service examination which is conducted by UPSC.

    Minimum educational qualification is graduate from any recognized university in any discipline with minimum age limits is 21 years and maximum age limits is 30 years which is relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST

    Examination is conducted in three phases Preliminary Examination,Mains Examination and Interview Test for final selection

    the exam contains 2 parts
    A) written exam
    B) interview
    after completing these 2 your training ........... all the best
