Procedure to become IAS Officer in India :
1. Recruitment : You should know that when UPSC board release the notification for recruitment's of civil services posts and when it releases you should apply for this exam immediately and to apply for this exam you should have following eligibilities :
A degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and if you are pursuing final year or semester of your degree then also you are eligible
your age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in upper age as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC
2. Paper Pattern :
A. Preliminary Exam : Objective Type contains 2 papers for 400 marks
B. Mains Examination : Descriptive Type contains 7 papers for 2000 marks
C. Interview Process : Final step of your selection contains 300 marks
3. Preparation of your exam : After the application of UPSC IAS exam you need to prepare for exam so you should follow some following steps to prepare for this exam :
A. Avoid all your bad habits which are the obstructions in your way of success
B. Concentrate only on study and you should prepare hard for your exam and give at least 15 hours and more time for your preparation
C. You should go to the coaching institute which gives the top result in your area at every year
D. When you go to appear for exam you should be confident and solve your exam paper with your cool mind and don't worry about anything and don't think that you haven't study anything like others because others also are already nervous about the exam so you should show your confidence in the exam
Final Steps : If you qualify the pre exam with good marks then you would be allowed to appear for mains exam and if you could not qualify the prelims then you would not be eligible for mains exams so be careful during the preliminary exam.
You should try to write some essays and pages on some most highlighted topics and collect previous years papers of UPSC and other state PSC exams and solve them and you should try to write at least 12-15 hour every day because you will have to write more and more within 3 hours in mains exam.
Interview Process : If you qualify both of the pre and mains exam then you would be called for interview process and you should apply for interview and prepare hard for interview and you should go to some higher posts civil service officers and guides of your coaching institute and collect more and more knowledge about the interview process that how to crack the IAS interview in a right way so that they can guide you well and avoid books to prepare for interview and be confident in yourself and if you collect more and more knowledge then you also will feel so cool and confident in yourself so you should prepare for some current events in your preparation and face the interview process in-front of UPSC Board committee.
If you perform well in interview and UPSC Board consider you the best for that position then you will definitely get your post after that so that you should prepare hard.
