    How can I become an IAS/PCS officer after doing BCA? What are the important subjects for the same?

    Hello Sir,

    I am a BCA pass out student. I want to do a IAS/PCS officer.

    How can i make it possible? What subject for IAS/PCS i select ?

    And tell me the easiest subject for this.

    dear aspirant,


    First of all to become an IAS/PCS officer you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC.

    For appearing in Civil Services exam you have to complete graduation
    in any discipline from recognized college or university with any percentage. So as you said you have completed BCA and you are fully eligible for Civil Services Exam.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.



    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


    Limit Number Of Attempts:


    >>General: 4 attempts
    >>OBC: 7 attempts
    >>SC/ST: No Limit

    IMPORTANT SUBJECTS:

    In UPSC questions comes from General Studies, GK, Mathematics and optional subject that you choose.

    You can become IAS/PCS officer after BCA. IAS as well as Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC.

    This year applying IAS preliminary exam last date is over.

    You can do graduation from any subjects to apply This exam.

    The following are subjects for UPSC exam;-

    Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science

    Chemistry

    Civil Engineering

    Commerce and Accountancy

    Electrical Engineering

    Mathematics

    Mechanical Engineering

    Medical Science

    Philosophy

    Psychology

    Public Administration

    Sociology

    Statistics

    Zoology

    You can choose Subjects from above list to get high marks.

    You must be choose those subjects in which you have full interest or field related subjects.

    Preliminary exam ;-26th May 2013

    Mains exam;-1th Dec 2013

    Well you can become an IAS/PCS officer.The procedure and criteria for IAS/PCS are given below.To become a IAS/PCS officer you have write civil service exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.The following are the eligible criteria for writing this exam+ Minimum Educational Qualification : Any bachelor degree from a recognised University+ Nationality : Indian+ Age limit : 21 - 30 (+5 yrs for ST/SC and +5 yrs for OBC)No. of attempt : General Category - 4 attempt OBC - 7 attempt SC & ST - No limit.The main subjects are GK (General Knowledge) and Mathematics ,the third one will be the optional subject which you choose.This exam is said to be the toughest exam in India,hence you must prepare well for this exam.You can even join civil service coaching classes.
