    Can I apply for UPSC exam after completion of BCA course from BIT, Kolkata? If yes then what is the syllabus for it? Which subjects will be prescribed for BCA stream?

    i am a bca passed student from bit kolkata. Can i apply for upsc exam if yes then what is the syllabus and which subjects will be prescribed for bca stream plz tell me and email me

    dear friend,

    yes you can apply for UPSC exams after completion of BCA course only if your college or university is recognized. you can also apply in your final year of BCA.
    your age must be within 21 years to 30 years. And there is some relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates.

    if you complete the degree in any stream from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet then u are eligible for the civil service exam. for the optional subject you took any two subject from the following list of subject. it is your choice you took any two subject.

    Medical Science
    Chemistry
    Philosophy
    Civil Engineering

    and age limit is for the civil service exam is that:_-

    The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

    The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.

    Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means unlimited

    Yes you can apply for the UPSC Exams in your final year of BCA degree and afterwards.
    As the eligibility criteria for the UPSC exam want's you to have a degree from a recognized college.
    I think you are asking about subjects for the Civil Services Exam .
    So the subject available for the UPSC Mains exam are

    Of course friend you are full eligible to apply for UPSC exam after completion of BCA course.

    UPSC conducts the civil service exam once in a year

    It is the central government body which work is to appoint the candidates for Group A post.


    Required eligibility for UPSC exam

    Graduation from recognized University

    Age should be 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

    PH + 10 years

    You must be Indian


    Exam pattern

    Preliminary exam (400 marks)

    English (200 marks)

    General knowledge (200 marks)


    Mains exam ( 2300 marks)




    Interview

    After obtaining Qualifying marks in written exam you will be called for interview.
