I A S Main Exam syllabus is given below for you --

PAPER 1 ::

One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the Candidate ---- 200 Marks

PAPER 2 ::

English -- 300 Marks


Paper 3 ::

Essay 200 Marks

Paper 4 & 5 ::

General Studies --- 600 Marks


Paper 6 , 7 , 8 and 9 .. any of the Two Subjects -- 1200 Marks ..

Yes, you can prepare for IAS examination with B.Tech course.
But , some difficult to prepare for both at a time because of Syllabus variation for both examination.
IAS syllabus totally deals with History of India ,General studies etc.,
But B.Tech syllabus deals with Technical .

So, prepare time management ....
