After completion of Graduation, you have to watch daily papers, where advertisements are published by the Jharkhand Police. Prepare for English Essays, grammers, etc. and for General Knowledge paper current affairs and all subjects upto class 10th such as science, social studies, maths, numerical ability, reasoning, etc. Good Luck..
every state is conducting their own exam for police inspector like gujarat conduct "GPSC" so you have to appear for your state's public service commision exam.
Every year jharkand police conducts an exam for recruiting people for various posts like asst.subinspector,headconstable,asst.wirelessopera tor,teleprinter operator, subinspector etc...last year on dec 16th 2011 notification for recruiting constables has been published in the local news paper.So you please check the news paper dialy for the notification.I hope this will help you and this recruitment is done for the posts in jharkand only...In this mean time if i come to know about the notification i will definitely post it.Wishing you all good luck.

To become police officer in your state, get updated about vacancies revealed by state government from time to time. Some states are having a autonomous body to co-ordinate these type of exam. in Madhya Pradesh, it is conducted by Vayavsayik Pareeksha Mandal.
you can join as in SUB-INSPECTOR/assistant SUB-INSPECTOR through State level recruitment by JHARKHAND every year,

you must be university graduate or equivalent for the post.

you can also write group1 exam conducted by jharkhand public service commission . After clearing this exam with good score, you can get post as DSP.
