Dear before preparing for any competitive examination you need to make a strategy to study that how will you study everyday, how much time you will provide to your study and how other things will be useful and helpful in your study then you should start preparation for any competitive exam and when you are preparing for Forest Conservation Officer officer exam then first of all you should know the complete syllabus and examination pattern of that examination then only you should make your strategy of study according to the subject and toughness of the syllabus and examination pattern is following for this examination
Part A - Compulsory Papers
1. General Studies - 150 questions for 150 marks and you will get 150 minutes to complete
2. General English - 100 questions for 100 marks and you will get 100 minutes to complete
3. Mathematics - 150 questions for 150 marks and you will get 150 minutes to complete
4. Any One Optional subject question paper - 200 questions for 200 marks in 180 minutes
All above mentioned subjects are included in one part of examination in which all questions will be asked in objective type pattern and qualifying in this section is compulsory to be eligible for interview process
Part B - Oral Interview / Personality Test Process : 70 marks
List of optional subjects from which you may choose any one for optional subject paper
1. Agriculture
2. Agriculture Engineering
3. Botany
4. Chemistry

6. Civil Engineering
7. Forestry
8. Geology
9. Horticulture
10. Mathematics
11. Mechanical Engineering
12. Physics
13. Statistics
14. Zoology
So that you may see the syllabus and now you may decide that in which subject you are strong and in which subject you are weak and suppose that if you are strong and having good command over your specialization subject of bachelor's degree and we may take - Agriculture for Example and with this you are also strong in English Language then there are only two subjects left for you and you have to give at least 60% of your time only to those subjects and left 40% time for Agriculture and English Language
You should divide your study time in parts because you do not want to take help of coaching institute so that you have all the day and you can manage your time as you wish so that first you should decide your time as following
Morning 8 to 10 AM - General Studies
Morning 10:30 to 12:30 PM - Mathematics
Evening 4 to 6 PM - English Language
Evening 6 to 8 PM - Agriculture or any other optional subject which you choose
Night 8 to 10 PM - Revision of both General Studies and Mathematics
Night 10 to 11 PM - Revision of both English Language and Optional Subject
Now you have decided the time table for your study but the question is that will you be continue on the same and follow this or not ? if yes then nothing is better than it because if you follow any special time table and strategy to prepare for any type of competitive examinations then you can easily get good command over each subject because of your regularity and your not breaking time table habit will take your to the success now you have the next question that what to use for your study without support of any good coaching so that you should use following things

Dear you have to follow the above mentioned time table till the completion of your syllabus and you have to cover your complete syllabus within 2 months or early because exam does not wait for anything and opportunity also does not look for any special one that is why you have to be ahead of the opportunity then start your preparation and when you complete your syllabus then here starts your practice time but before practice you have to make it sure that you have complete learned everything of your syllabus and must have good command over at least 90% of syllabus
Now you have to forget your above mentioned time table and follow the following time table

Afternoon - 2 to 4 PM - Practice Set III - English Language - Model Practice Paper
Evening - 4:30 to 7 PM - Practice Set IV - Optional Subject - Model Practice Paper
Dear I have kept the time only 2 hours for 2 papers because if you will prepare and practice according 2 hours for all questions then you will get good command and may easily manage the time in the examination that is why you have to follow this time table for practice sets, now the question comes that where to get previous years and model question papers then you need to go to market and find out the books in which some previous years and some model practice sets are given and you should purchase at least 3 different publication books and start practicing with all of them and you may use following publications of books for this examination

When you see that you may easily complete a paper within 2 hours and taking at least 85 questions for each section within 2 hours then you should think that you are prepared well for this examination but this if you leave your practice then you will leave your goal and your success will leave you that is why you have to keep your practice continue in any type of situation at any cost because practice makes a man perfect
