upsc conducts its exam in tiers that is preliminary and mains so first of all you need to prepare for prelims and for that you need to go threw 6-10th science,mathematics,social mainly and english grammer and comprehensions ,and foe c-sat you need to practise mentel aptitude papers ,so practice 2papers from each daily ,and books for this preparation are already available so you can buy them .all the best.

UPSC : Stands for the Union Public Service Commission
And upsc is conducting the upsc exam for the post like Ias and Ips
Upsc is conducting the exam every year civil services exam
For the exam the candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university
And the age should be between 21-30
And as you said you are going to choose the optional subjects
English and Sociology both of these subjects are very good subjects
And for the english you can go with the R.S Aggarwal book
And then you can go with the Arihant publications book
And for the Sociology you can go for the upkar publications book
And then after that go with the Arihant publications book
And concentrate on your studies and focus on your mains subject

This is some tough to prepare for both exams at a time
But when we will balance those exams then it will easy to manage both
Now your pursuing final year so that you can have a main project now
So it is to better to study at least 1 or 2 hours per a day
While you might be completed your graduation then study at least 6 to 7 hours
Then you will defiantly achieve in upsc exams
More over do not neg late your academic subjects why because
if you all clear the subjects then only you are said to be completed graduate
