it depends upon your time management. and i suggest you to concentrate on quality study rather then quantity .
for IPS 8 to 10 hours are enough for study.

You need to built up your concentrating levels.

For a concentrated mind, 4-5 hours a day is enough to crack IPS.

if you learn the things with full concentration that means you are an extra ordinary learner and for an extra ordinary

learner 7 to 9 hours /day is enough for the preparation .

But if you are an ordinary /average student than you should read 10-12hours per day

you should manage your time well so that every subject gets the proper time to do better preparation,
