Sir,
I have already taken the UPSC exam held on 12.06.2011. but after the exam i lost the admit card. I am afraid i might require the admit card for future correspondence with UPSC. So please advise me on how to obtain a duplicate or copy of admit card. I am not able to download the same from UPSC site www.upsc.gov.in.

dear candidateTHERE IS NEED NOT TO WORRY IF YOU HAVE LOOSE YOUR ADMIT CARD. IF YOU CLEAR THE EXAM YOU WILL RECEIVE A CALL LETTER FROM THE UPSC REGARDING FOR APPEARING FOR FURTHER ROUNDS.AS SOON AS YOUR RESULT DECLARE OF THE EXAM JUST DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THE SAME AND KEEP IT SAFE.IF IN ANY CASE THE ADMIT Card is required by the upsc you can show them your all identity proofs and the registration no. of your application.you can also make a call on the upsc helpline no. for further assistance .

1.the admit card is used as a reference for your DOB and registration no. number only . safe guard your application [ incase of online application download it and print keep a copy of it ]
2. after clearing your exams if your are qualified they will send you a call letter regarding the further details of the selection procedure
3. definitely they will ask for your application copy , admit card , call letter at the time of reporting so take valid ID proofs in regard of your age and DOB
4. in the application get a sign from a gazzeted officer in regard of your entry .
5. talk politely to the call up officers about the plot and get it cleared
if still there exists any problem then contact the numbers or e-mail id given in the call letter about the situation and try to explain it to them .

-It is not possible to download the admit card of your previously happened exams,whenever you want.The official website of the UPSC being very busy,changes keep happening.
-Hence,you must have downloaded an extra copy of the admit card while the date to get the provincial admit card were available.
-I doubt you won't be able to download or get one anymore.
-That doesn't means all the doors are closed though,because You would have received the confirmation of your Candidature on the e-Mail ID you had applied while filling in the application form.
-You will have the REGISTRATION NUMBER and PASSWORD there.Keep it SECURE until the complete recruitment processes are over.
-Also,if you clear the written exams,you might receive a CALL LETTER which would help you for further reference and might reduce your worries regarding the loss of admit card.
-If required,you can also contact the officials,and request them to help you out.

See my friend it is neccessery to make a xerox for any thing that we want....because if it looses then we can not do any thing ...so that now you lost original admit card and you also its copy to your mail id ....immediately once check your mail id and get a copy ....and attach proof certificate to that copy while you are going to write exam ...any way all the best my friend..

dear there is no need to have a duplicate copy of admit card,
and whenever you go to give upsc exam then your admit card is submitted by the examiners,
and if you clears the exam you will get the call letter by post,
so don't worry.

with the advent of computer technology upsc now has started taking online applications along with offline or postal applications . in case you do not get the admit card by post or you lost the original admit card you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in and get your admit card downloaded making use of date of birth and registration id .

dear duplicate admit card is of no further use,
you do not need to have a duplicate copy of it.
and if still you wish to have a duplicate copy of it then you must have two printouts of the admit card because after the exam the examiner will take your admit card,
so before exam you can have an extra copy of it if you want to save it as a duplicate copy.
