I have applied for UPSC this year but didn't received any acknowledgement or admit card. Will this be counted as attempt or not?

    Hello,

    >> I would like to bring to your notice that the UPSC does not take any action such as to send the acknowledgement card to the candidates.
    >> The confirmation of the registration of your application form is sent to you via mail,on the e-mail ID you have had mentioned on the application form.
    >> Hence, check your inbox for the confirmation !

    >> Now,regarding to the admit card, the UPSC no longer sends the ADMIT CARDS of the candidates on their residential address via post.
    >> You were supposed to download it from the Official Website of the UPSC using your registration number or roll number !
    >> The link for the same was made available a couple of weeks prior the scheduled date of Prelims exams,i.e., 20th of May,on the website ::
    www.upsc.gov.in !!

    >> Clearly, you have missed upon appearing the exams this year due to a bit of carelessness shown from your side !
    >>
However, this will definitely be counted as one attempt because the registration had been completed.
That you didn't appear for the exams is your fault !

    >> Though this one attempt won't matter much as one good attempt will be enough for you to crack the exams.
    >> So work hard and prepare well.
    >> Also be more cautious from next time !!

    ALL THE BEST.

UPSC does not send admit card by post, you have to download. sorry you missed it.
But this is not counted as an attempt. Only if you appear for the exam and sign in the attendance sheet , it is counted as an attempt, no problem. this is given clearly in the UPSC notification itself.

    dear friend,

UPSC does not send Admit card to aspirants address. Now UPSC has provided the facility to download the admit card online.

You can download E-Admit card online on following link:

    http://www.upsc.gov.in/

But now as you have missed the exam for your carelessness. and as you does not appeared for any paper it never considered as your attempt.
it considered attempt only if you are appeared for at least one paper.
So, don't worry and take care for next time till then continuous preparation for the exam.

    Good Luck......

=> UPSC is not send any admit card or acknowledgement letter to the registered candidates as per new policy .
=> UPSC sends an email to every registered candidates in which there will be admit card in softcopy form and one have to print out that admit card and bring with us when go for the exam because without it you can't allowed to give the exam .
=> So may be you didn't check your mail so that you will not aware of this .
=> Also one have to download the hall ticket from the official website of upsc www.upsc.gov.in before the preliminary exam .
=> one have to download that hall ticket also .
=> Now as you registered for the exam so that UPSC arranged a hall ticket for you also but as you didn't give the exam so that it will be considered as one attempt .
=> This time due to you not aware about this things , you missed the one attempt but in next time please be careful .

    Good Luck

    my dear friend,

attempt is counted when you appeared in the exam,

as you have not appeared so this will not be counted as attempt.
also i would like to add that now days with the increase in the facilities upsc also changed there modes,
now upsc does not sends admit cards by post,
you have to download your admit cards from the official website of upsc,

the admit card downloaded from the official website are used to appear in the examination.

the official website of upsc is www.upsc.gov.in
