>> Once you clear the interview stage of the SCRA examination ,you will be guided to the 4-year course in Mechanical Engineering through SCRA.
>> All comfort including housing and food will be taken care of meanwhile.
>> After the completion of these four years, you are enrolled in for the training period. Alongside,you are paid a stipend of Rs 10000/-.
>> As soon as you are done with the training, you are placed as a Grade A officer in the Indian Railways.
>> You will be an engineer in-charge, dealing with the structure of the railways, with posts varying according to your experience !
>> You can expect the starting salary to be around Rs 35,000 and it grows from there.
