If you have enough material about the exam then you can easily prepare your own notes for the specific exam.
There are a lots of books available for preparing upsc exams.
I prefer you make your own notes.
Your notes will be well understood by you. Use different reference books to make your notes.
Dear Friend, you can make your own notes but coachong materials are somehow better than it.
So you should make your own notes and you should also collect coaching material from any good coaching institute, or any experienced teacher.

dear aspirant,you can make your own notes for the preparation for the exam. You can also take notes from the Institutes. Both are good for preparation. And i will recommend you while preparation try to solve previous year papers also.
Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:
>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Limit Number Of Attempts:
>>General category: 4 attempts
>>OBC category: 7 attempts
>>SC/ST category: No Limit
