Examination Pattern for UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination

Preliminary Examination - Two papers conducted in objective type pattern for 400 marks and papers are - General Studies and CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test and passing in prelims is compulsory to be eligible for main exam

Main Examination - 6 conventional type papers conducted in this examination only in english medium and passing in each paper is mandatory

Paper I - General English - 300 marks

Paper II - General Knowledge - 300 marks

Paper III, IV, V and VI is based on two optional subjects that are listed below and you can choose two subjects from these list to appear for these all four papers
