Can you please tell me the study strategy for General science Paper I and II (IAS Exam). I am also confused about the books to be referred for the same. I also request you to guide me and give some study tips for the current affairs and essay. How can I improve and update my knowledge which is very important for a candidate taking up IAS exam? Please Help!!!

You must know the syllabus of both paper 1 and paper 2.
Paper I of preliminary examination consists of following syllabus
1)Current events of national and international importance.
2)History of India and Indian National Movement.
3)Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
4)Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
5) Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
6)General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change
7)General Science.
Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
1)Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
2)Logical reasoning and analytical ability
3)Decision-making and problem-solving
4)General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level),
5)Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)
6)English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).
