Friend
You being a CA professional, the best elective subjects for appearing in the Civil Service Exams are ECONOMICS and COMMERCE AND ACCOUNTANCY.
You must know by now these subjects by length and breath. So you won't face much difficulties in opting for these.
But I will recommend you to choose one of the Arts subject such as Political Administration or History as they are very scoring and would prove to be highly beneficial in the interviews as well. Focus entirely and practice them.
good luck
Hello,
First of all I have to say you the If you have only CA Certificate then you cannot fill the form of Civil Services.
The minimum Qualification of appearing in Civil Services Examination is Graduation from a recognized University.
If you have Graduation Degree in Commerce Field then you can take commerce related subjects in UPSC examinations.
Otherwise you should take Arts subjects History, Sociology, political science, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills you can crack the exam.
But first of all you have to tell us about your Degrees that you have completed Bachelors Degree yet or not.
Wish you all the best
