Dear Aspirant,
no there is no exemption for anyone in UPSC civil services examination.
You need to pass in every hurdle in order to get selected for Civil services.
the prelims are of competitive in nature so you have to clear it in order to get selected for Mains.
so start preparing yourself in order to reserve your post in main examination.
read books to prepare for UPSC civil exam.
All the best.

No there is no exemption for anyone in civil services exam. Even those who got previously cleared this exam and are currently serving in posts such as IPS also not given any exemption when they appear again for the exam to get higher posts. All candidates have to compulsorily attend prelims, mains and then interview. In whichever stage you fail, you have to again start from the first. THis is the exam for top most administrative officials in the country. So it is always stringent
There is no such exemptions given to anyone from appearing for the Preliminary Exams, if you are interested in giving the civil services exams you have to appear in the prelims as well.
There are two papers in the preliminary exams which is common to all the candidates who appear in the exams irrespective of their graduation stream or backgriound
These papers are:
paper 1- General studies paper of 200 marks and time given to answer this is 120 minutes.
Paper 2-comprehension, logical reasoning, decision making general mental abilty .this paper is also of 200 marsk time given is 120 minutes
both the papers will be held in objective mode only
No there is no exemption for CA in the UPSC exams..
They have same criteria as it is for others..
There are no exemptions for anyone in UPSC exam process. If you want to clear civil services, you need to go through the same procedures as anyone else. You will not be given any exemption.
