The criteria for appearing in UPSC is :
1. Nationality : Indian
2. Academic qualification : Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
3. Age limits : 21-30 (OPEN), 21-33 (OBC), 21-35(sc/st).
4. Attempts : OPEN-4 , OBC-7 ,SC/ST-9 .

There is no distinction in the above rules for male & female.

The age limit for the general category girls is:

21-30 yrs

There is no as such age relaxation for girls..

Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC every year .There are two exams-

Prelims in May

Mains in October /November.

For main exam you have to select any two subjects from subjects given by UPSC at the time of notification of the exam.
