you can get various jobs in Government Sector after BDS through various Government examination such as UPSC, SSC .
you can also enter in Army Dental Corps through UPSC. For that you have minimum 60% marks in BDS and one year internship training as prescribed bu DCI.
you can also apply for different posts through UPSC like IAS,IPS,IFS etc.
it depends upon you that you can cover the syllabus in one year or less time.

After completing BDS you can set your career through Civil service exam and become the top level officer of India.
It is a good opportunity for you to make career in central government.
UPSC organizes the recruitment for the post of IAS, IPS or IRS by Civil service exam.
This exam is conducted once in a year.
The exam pattern is high tough so you would have need of specific preparation to crack civil exam.
You will have to be fully dedicated in the preparation of civil exam.
Qualification for civil exam
You should be graduated in any stream from recognized college
Final year candidates are eligible to apply
There are no minimum marks of percentage required
Age should be between 21 to 30 years
Age relaxation
SC/St + 5 years
OBC + 3 years
You must be the citizen of India.
Exam procedure for Civil exam
Preliminary exam ( 400 marks)
General studies (200 marks)
General English ( 200 marks)
Mains exam ( 2000 marks)

Interview and personality test ( 300 marks)
Personality test is conducted to test the personality of candidates and only mains qualified candidates will be called for Interview.
You can apply for Civil service exam in next year 2013
UPSC will issue the notification for civil exam on 2/2/2013 and last date of application will be on 4/3/2013.
The preliminary exam will be held on 19/5/2013 and mains exam will be held on 8/11/2013.
