The maximum age limit for IRS is 30years for General, 33years for OBC,35 years for SC/ST,35 years for J&K domicile,35years for ex servicemen.

The IRS(Indian revenue service) exam is conducted by UPSC.The exam consist of 3 stages:Preliminary exam,Written/Main exam , Interview test.
The candidate who posses a bachelor degree from a recognized University is eligible for IRS exam.
The maximum age limit for IRS exam:
For General the minimum age required 21 year & the maximum is 30 year on 1st August of the year of examination.
Upper age limit is relaxed for:
OBC - 3 years
SC/ST - 5 years
Blind,deaf,mute or orthopedically Handicapped - 10 years
Jammu & kashmir domicile(1980-1989) - 5 year age relaxation
special cases of defense personnel - 3 year
special cases of Ex-service man who have rendered at least 5 year in military
service up to maximum 5 year age relaxation.

>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
Age Limit:
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Limit Number Of Attempts:
>>General category: 4 attempts
>>OBC category: 7 attempts
>>SC/ST category: No Limit

for civil service the minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 30 years for general
relaxation age limit for SC/ST IS 5 YEARS i.e 35 years
for OBC is 3 years i.e 33 years
for ex-service men is 35 years
for JAMMU AND KASHMIR domicile is 35 years
to be part of IRS you need to crack the civil service exam,held by upsc

IRS Stands for Indian Revenue Service This exam is conducted by union Public Service Commission and these examinations is conducted by every year. If you interest to apply this exam you should be have this eligibility's.
Eligibility Criteria For IRS Exam:-
The General Candidate age should between 21 to 30 years and The Other Backward Caste candidate age limit should between 21 to 33 years and The Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste candidate age limit should between 21 to 35 years.
Important dates;-
Preliminary exam is conducted on 26 may 2013.
Mains exam is conducted 1 dec 2013.
Therefore Prelims exam is near.
This year notification is over.
You have to wait for Next year notification.
Next year notification in first week of march month.
Last date lies in first week of April.
