Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.
You just need to be a graduate to appear for the IRS post through Civil Services Examination.
The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
Final year degree students are also eligible
Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university
Age limit
General 21-30 yrs
SC/ST 21-35 yrs
PH 21-40 yrs
Number of attempts permitted
General 4
OBC 7
PH 7
SC/ST No Limit
Nationality should be Indian.

2. Age should be for General :- 21-30 yrs.

IRS stands for Indian Revenue Services. you can join IRS through
UPSC Civil Services exam. Exam is conducted by UPSC every year.
through IRS you get posts in Customs and excise department.
Civil Services exam constitutes three parts:
1. CSAT
2. Mains
3. Interview
for appearing in exam you have to fulfill some other requirement like:
>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
and you must have attained the minimum age on same date and you have not attained the upper age on similar date.
