Hello there..
>> The percentage of reservation for the Other Backward Classes in the UPSC recruitment is considered to be 27%.
>> The system accounts for 15% reservation for Schedule Caste and 7% for the Scheduled Tribe.
>> However,it is a subject to change,in accordance with the UPSC.
>> The reservation policy is to apply at every stage of the selection in case of any exam conducted by the UPSC.
For example, the percentage of reservation will apply at all the three stages of the Civil Services,i.e. The Prelims,The Mains and The Interviews.
>> Hope this helps you get clear your concept on reservation for OBCs,which is not supposed to exceed 27%.

Hi friend,
Hope that you are in good health and good state of mind.
Friend, there is NO RESERVATION FOR OBC in UPSC exam.
According to UPSC,all the categories are equal and hence they do not have this policy of reserving seats for categories such as SC/ST or OBC.
But yes, there is some amount of relaxation that has been provided in the Age Criteria that one needs to fulfill in order to sit in the exam.
According to the Age criteria:
-->A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st
August, in the year of examination.
-->The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:
->Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
->Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
->State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December,
1989): upto a maximum of five years.
->Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years.
So keep working hard and burn your night lamps.
Hard work is the only key to success!
Bye
