    What is the procedure to apply for UPSC? Where to give the exam? What is its fee?

    Can any one tell me what is
    -- the procedure to apply for UPSC
    -- wher to give the exam and what is the Fees
    -- i am just unaware of any thing related to this exam
    -- and i want to give it in 2013

    -- which months does it occur

    For Graduates:
    Central Police Forces Examination (CPF)
    Civil Services Examination
    Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS)
    Combined Engineering Services Examination (IES)
    Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS)
    Geologist's Examination
    Indian Economics Services/Indian Statistical Services Exam
    Indian Forest Services Examination (IFS)

    For Under-graduates:
    National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA/NA)
    SO/Steno (Gd B/Gd-I) Ltd Dept t Competitive Examination
    Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam



    How to fill form UPSC exam notifications are available at official website or in employment newspaper. There are 2 modes to fill form.

    1. Offline:- In this mode you can purchase the form from any nearby post-office through CRF stamp of denomination of Rs 50/- or Rs 100/-.
    All filled applications should be submitted to "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier.

    2. Online:- To fill application online you have to visit www.upsconline.nic.in. Instructions to fill forms are available with every exam notifications. First you should visit the website of UPSC and download the notification and go through on this carefully. After that go to the registration website to register for a particular examination.



    For fee payment candidates have three options:-

    1. They can pay cash at any branch of state bank of india through the pay-in-slip generated by the online application process. 2. They can pay online using the internet banking facility of the state bank of india if they are state bank of india customer and having its internet banking facility. 3. They can pay online using any visa/master debit or credit card issued by any bank/institution.

    generally, the notification for the examination is released in the month of February and
    the examination is held in the month of may of the same year.

    to appear in the examination you must have the qualifications given below.

    qualifications:-

    1. you must be an indian.

    2. you must be a graduate from a govt. recognized university.

    3. your age must be in between 21-30 years and their is an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years for obc and sc/st respectively.

    Hi Aspirant,

    You can apply for UPSC exam though Online and Offline mode

    Online mode

    Open www.upsconline.nic.in

    Here you will complete the registration in two parts.

    In first part fill the basic details and submit application form.

    Now download the challan form and deposit in SBI bank with requisite application fee.

    Now complete second part

    Fill payment details, upload photo and signature.

    Submit the form.

    You will get a confirmation email in your inbox.


    Offline mode

    Purchase the application form from head post office.

    Fill all the basic details and paste CRF stamp and send to the prescribed address.


    Application fee: Rs. 50


    You will have to give the exam to the selected exam center of UPSC.

    You can see the center details in application form.

    Well friend, UPSC conducts many exams and some of those are :

    >> Civil Services Examination

    >> Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS)

    >> Combined Engineering Services Examination (IES)

    >> Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS)

    Well, i understand that most are confused by the term and consider it to be Civil services.

    So, All the details you are asking will be released by December or Januray
    so hold some patience.

    First of all i want to make you clear that UPSC is not a Exam it is a body which conduct various UPSC exams i.e. Civil Services, IFS, CDS, CPF, NDA, SCRA, IES, CMS etc.

    How To apply?
    you can apply for various UPSC exams via two ways: Online Mode and Offline Mode.

    1. Online Mode:


    UPSC has provided the facility to fill the application form online. So for filling the application form online visit the following official link:
    http://www.upsconline.nic.in/

    2. Offline mode:

    you can also fill the application form in offline mode. You can buy the application form from head post office of your area.

    application fee: Rs. 50


    before filling the form please check the eligibility criteria corresponding exam. For that visit the UPSC official website of UPSC:

    UPSC or union public service commission conducts many exams .
    you have not mentioned for which exams you want to appear in the year 2013

    Till now UPSC has not released its 2013 exams calendar
    This calendar will be uploaded on its official website www.upsc.gov.in

    If you want to appear in the UPSC civil services exams than the prelims will be held in may 2013 and forms can be filled in jan or feb 2013 through its website upsconline.nic.in
    fees is rs 50 only
