The level of mathematics is not very hard in upsc exams . It is just the level of board exams,..

As for prelim exams in the UPSC,the mathematical ability tested is very basic,with respect to the general mental ability.
So,you can be assured of some basic,easy numericals only,as in bank exams.
Similiar to that what asked in bank exam.
standard of question paper is somewhat of 12th level only,the one who have all his concepts clear in mind can easily qualify maths exam of UPSA,all you need is good understanding of all topic that you studied in 12th class.
the standard of maths questions in UPSC xams is quite basic n a knowledge of upto 10th level iz sufficient with regular practice n command in questions..

standards can never be defined but they are solvable. they are of general mathematics. no high level maths is asked
they are not complicated at all. similar to bank exam's questions
Comparing with banking exams, maths is much comfortable in UPSC.

you have not to worry about maths question as these are only of 9th standard.
it is easy to these questions in a given time.
in comparision to bank questions you can consider equal level.

the math examination is not so tough it you prepare it from core of your heart then it will be very easy to crack this examination.

they will be little tougher than your BANK maths as upsc doesn't asks question directly mere on the basis of formula's, they involve analytical approach,indirect question, tests your in-depth knowledge of mathematics based on the syallabus upto 10+2 taught during your school days.
keeps practices , see previous year paper to judge the level, do prepare accordingly.

it seems to you difficult because somewhere you are afraid of the questions being asked so just practise more and more and solve easily
Bscically the questions asked in prelims are quiet easy however for scra the standard of question is of jee pattern and for nda the pattern of question is easygood luck

It has no comparison with bank exam paper.
The exam paper for math subject is very complicated
It is high level math.
In bank exam the question asked from 10th standard.
While in UPSC math exam the question may be asked from any level.
