I will tell you about the sallabus of HCS exam :
The exam is divided in to two parts :
First is Preliminary which consist of two papers general and optional .
Second is Mains exam which consist of written test and interview.
Preliminary exam shall comprises of two papers of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks .
Maximum Marks Time Allowed
Paper first General study 100 2 hours
Paper second Optional 100 2 hours
One optional subject should be selected from out of 19 subjects .
List of 19 subjects for preliminary exam are :
1 Agriculture
2 Vetenory Science
3 Botany
4 Chemistry
5 Civil Engineering
6 Commerce and Accountancy
7 Ecconomics
8 Electrical Engineering
9 Geography
10 Indian History
11 Law Mathematics
12 Mechinical Engineering
13 Physics
14 Polytical Science
15 Psychology
16 Publiuc Administration
17 Sociology
18 Zoology
19 Mathematics
From this you can choose any one subject .
The General study paper includes Current affares , general science , mathematics , reasoning , english , Indian History.
Main exam :
The candidate who qualified in the preliminary exam will be eligible for the main exam .
The main exam is consist of four papers .

Paper 4th Optional 2 subjects from 23 300
