Dear UPSC board conduct a separate examination for railway services because Indian railways is under central government of India and separately recruitment process is performed by the board so you should apply for that examination and that exam is - SCRA - Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination
Eligibility for UPSC SCRA Examination
You should have passed Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board or university and must have completed - Mathematics at this level with any one of the Physics or Chemistry or
Should be graduate in mathematics from a reputed university and at least one of the subjects of Physics or Chemistry
Your age should not be less than 17 years and more than 21 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates
Examination Pattern for SCRA Examination
Paper I - General Ability Test - This paper contains - English Language, General Knowledge and Psychological Knowledge sections for 200 marks
Paper II - Physical Sciences - Two subjects will be there in this paper that are - Physics and Chemistry and both are for 200 marks
Paper III - Elementary Mathematics will be covered under this paper separately for 200 marks
Qualifying in examination is mandatory then you will be called for personality test including physical and medical standards test that only you will be appointed for job and if you could not pass further stages then you will be disqualified from the recruitment process
