Since you have to give exam next year so plan properly and systematically.It is the mother of all examination.So first try to get acquainted with what civil services is all about .What is its pattern,in how many stages examination is done when are those examination held, what books you require ,which optional will be best for you,what is its eligibility criteria .Visit UPSC websites spend 5-10 days gathering all information.After deciding this make your own planning strategies.You are the one who is going to study.How much hours you can devote for your study of UPSC .

Friend, you should be of 21-30 years to give the upsc exams. You should practice the previous question papers. You must make your vocabulary as strong as possible,as it is one of the main wepon to crack the upsc exams. Also read the newspapers to be conscious about current affairs.
