Secondly, now onwards read daily newspaper, Editorial column, NCERT Books for General Studies, etc. Buy a book for particular Exam for which you want to appear i.e. CDS, Civil Services, Indian Economic Services, etc. Good Luck...!!!
For upsc exam, you can prepare from rigt now. Take the book like csat, some aptitude and reasoning books, and also prepare some books of history, economics, political science etc. To participate in upsc exam, one should be an all-rounder.

.i would say it is the best way for preparing for civil services exam as it is a tough nut to crack indeed. but nothing is impossible in this world . the applicant who clear the civil services exams are also one of us .they are got anything special that help them to clear the exams . it is because they are so determined and focused for their goal to become an IAS or an IPS officer to serve our nation .along with this you can try for cds through which you can become an army ,air force,or an naval officer
