SCRA exam means Special Class Railway Apprentice examination .
This exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission(U.P.S.C) to recruit candidates in Indian railway.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-
-- CANDIDATE MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN.
-- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PASSED INTERMEDIATE EXAM WITH FIRST/SECOND CLASS FROM RECOGNIZED BOARD.
-- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE STUDIED MATHEMATICS & AT LEAST ONE SUBJECT FORM PHYSICS/CHEMISTRY IN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL.
-- MINIMUM AGE REQUIRED IS 17 YEARS TO APPEAR IN THE EXAM.
-- A CANDIDATE MUST NOT ATTAIN THE AGE OF 21 YEARS.
-- UPPER AGE LIMIT IS RELAXED FOR SC/ST , OBC CANDIDATES.

EXAM PATTERN:-
EXAM GOES ON TWO STAGES.
1)Written test
2)Personal interview
Written test consists of 3 objective papers.
Each paper having 200 marks.
Total mark in personality test is 200 marks.
Candidates who are qualified in written test are called for personality test.
Objective / Multiple choice types of questions are asked.
All questions are of +2/equivalent standard.

any one who is from science background in 10+2 can apply for it provided his age is not less than 17 years and more than 21 years.
various materials are available in market but despite of all these i suggest every serious aspirant to prefer his /her school texbooks or that of ncert.
