    Is Age limit for Ex-servicemen regarding IAS exam justified? If no, why not 42 years?

    A person who join any defence service ,

    is permitted to get 5 years age relief means upto 35 years he can apply.

    But,

    to become ex-serviceman , individual suppose to serve
    15 years in navy, = 14 years.
    17 years in army, = 16 years.
    19 years in iaf. = 19 years.

    {....................... Yes , noc is issues before 1 year.}

    ================================================== ======

    please let me know what is the use of 5 years age relief ?

    Only short service commissoned officers and navy personnel can apply., as at the time of joining defence age is about 18 years now a days.

    Please add 18 years + 19 years = 37 years .

    ================================================== ======

    iaf is permitting after 7 years of job for class 1 posts , but after 7 years iaf is not giving ex-serviceman status, iaf is permitting for carrear enhancement.

    So, if someone join at age of 22 (upper limit for airmen) years , he will be permitted by iaf at age of 29, he will get one chance for ias, and after 30 iaf will permit , but as he is not ex-servicemen after 7 years in iaf , upsc will not permit for age relaxation. As to become ex , individual have to serve 19 years.

    So , my opinion is upsc must permit defence personnel upto age of 42 years, as a matter of right.

    yaa = fauji badhuaa majdoor hae ? Jinka ias banna paap hogaa ?

    please comment !

    Jai hind !
