    Dear student you did not mention in which class you are reading you want to do Indian Army entrance examination.Accordingly you are to do NDA examination.

    Eligibility:-

    1. A 12th standard candidate having PCM subjects can write all wings and for only Indian Army wing any 12th standard from a recognized University can compete NDA exam.

    2.NDA(National Defence academy)entrance exam is conducted by UPSC 2 times a year.

    3.An unmarried male candidate of India can write NDA exam.

    4.Candidates eye sight must be normal 6''/6'' without the color blind and night blind.

    5.Candidates age must be within 16 and a 1/2 years to 19 years.

    6.Candidates height and weight must not less then 157cms and 42 kgs respectively.

    Hello,
    There are two Examinations conducted by UPSC for the recruitment of candidates in Indian Defence.
    1. NDA & NA Examination.
    2. CDS Examination

    NDA & NA Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year for the recruitment of candidates in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force wings of NDA.

    The eligibility criteria for NDA & NA Examination are as follows:
    The candidate should be of the age in between 16.5 to 19 yrs.
    The candidate should be unmarried.
    The candidate should be Indian.
    The Educational Qualification required is as follows:
    For Army: 12th appearing or 12th class pass of 10+2 of school education pattern or equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board or University.
    For Air Force, Navy & Naval Academy: 12th appearing or 12th class pass of 10+2 of school education pattern or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by State Education Board or University.

    If you are a graduate then you can apply for CDS Examination.
    CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination it is also conducted by UPSC for the recruitment of candidates in Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers Training Academy.

    Dear aspirant,
    There are two exams conducted by the UPSC two get the selection in any of the branch of defence services.
    1) NDA.
    2) CDS.
    NDA stands for national defence academy examination which is conducted twice in a year to select the candidates in indian army and air force and navy.
    to apply for the same you need to fulfil the criteria.
    -10+2 in any stream can apply for indian army.
    -10+2 with physics and maths can apply for the air force and navy as well.
    -age should not exceed 19 years of age and should not be less than 16.5 years of age.
    -nationality-indian
    -marital status should be unmarried.
    -girls cannot apply for the same.
    -male candidates can only apply for the same.
    selection is based on the written test ssb interview and medical test.

    CDS stands for combined defence services examination, this examination is also conducted twice in a years same as NDA but the syllabus for the same will be different.
    -graduate in any discipline can apply for indian army through CDS.
    -graduate with engineering physics or maths can apply for the air force and navy.
    -age for air force academy is 19 to 23 years.
    -for naval academy 19 to 22 years of age.
    -for indian millitary academy 19 to 24 years of age.
    -for officers training academy 19 to 25 years of age.
    -selection process is same as NDa.
