-UPSC exam application forms can be filled through online mode now.

-Go to www.upsc.gov.in ,on the left hand side click the first link of UPSC ONLINE APPLICATIONS to various exams.

-Alternatively please follow this link http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ to fill the form.

Preparation Tips

-Devote atleast 8 hrs daily to prepare for UPSC Civil Services exams and
if you are attemting other UPSC exams then a little less time.

-Make a daily routine and allot time for each subject and oyher activities,
TIME MANAGEMENT is the key.

-Join a good Library and study good refrence books,newspapers and magazines.
you can read newspaper like the Hindu/magazine like competition success.

-Join a good coaching class if you need guidance but self study is must.

-Solve previous years questions and solve model test papers.

first i tell you that you are permitted to fill the application form only online mode.

because there re no any other mode of application will be accepted by upsc.


you just follow the steps to fill the application form successfully.

1. at first you should go on the website of upsc http://www.upsconline.nic.in

2. click on ' online application form for various upsc examination.'

3. select the examination and click on 'part -1 registration'

4. fill the general details about yourself in the part -1 and click submit.

5. take a printout of chalan copy.and go to the bank.

6. give ( to BANKER) the chalan copy and the money written on it ,and he/she will give you a
transaction id on the copy of chalan.

7. now come again to your computer and open the 'part - 2 registration.'

8. provide the transaction ID and registration ID to open the part-2 registration.

9. now provide your scanned photograph,signature and left hand thumb impression(if required)
and click on submit.

10. after submitting the application form you will get a conformation e-mail in the mailbox which you have provided in the application form..take a print out of your application form ,it will help you for further correspondence to upsc.

1 online way is very easy
u can open site upsconline.com and click on 1 resistration and then u fill form then print challan and pay fee by SBI bank
then 2 resistaration where u upload photo and sign

2 offline where u buy a form and fill this and then u pay fee by crpf tickt and send to upsc .

you can apply for UPSC exams in two ways:

1. Online mode:

UPSC has provided the facility to fill the application form online.
you can fill the application form online on following link:

2. offline mode:

you can also buy the application form from nearest head post office.
fill it and send it on given address by simple post or speed post. No other mode of receipt of application form should be accepted.

note that UPSC conduct various exams like civil Services, IES, CDS, NDA, SCRA, IFS, CMS, CPF etc. so please check your eligibility for corresponding exam before filling the form.

Dear Member,

Online filling up the application is the fastest and easiest way to apply for examination.
But you need to be care while filling up your details.
you need to fill your personal details, educational details, your work experience if any, your preferences if any, your addition courses etc etc properly.

best tip would be to practice yourself on computer about filling up your details so as to have a less chances of errors and mistakes.
many people make lots of errors and mistakes in their application and than regret afterwards because UPSC don't allow any modification one application is submitted.

You can also send the paper application by post to UPSC Office.
this is called Offline application method.
it is one of the safest method to apply, but it includes lots of hassle too.
you need to first download the application form or go to UPSC office to get application form.
than fill it, if there is any mistake than refill it, go back again to submit etc etc.

Now you have to decide which method is suitable to you.
