dear aspirant,
civil services consists of indian economics and questions related to history , geography, indian's position in terms of growth
civil services does not have any questions related to engineering hence there is no benefit if you are going to do b.tech
it is better if you do some arts related degree
Hi
It is just a myth. If you want to go for the civil services, you just need to focus on your ultimate aim of cracking civil services. And it is a slight beneficiary if you select the same subjects for the mains which you already studied in your b.tech graduation level.
Yes dear definitely there is a huge profit of completing B.Tech before appearing for civil service examination but before coming on your query, I would like to tell you eligibility criteria for civil service exams
Must posses a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized board or university or institute and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination
Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and if you belongs to reserved category then you will get relaxation in upper age which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category can upper relaxation can only be claimed in case of crossing maximum age limit for this examination means if you cross 30 years of age then you can claim for upper age relaxation according to your category
Dear B.Tech is a Bachelor's of Technology which is a engineering degree and minimum duration is 4 years to complete this bachelor's degree so as I have mentioned that to apply for civil service exam you must have a degree so that first of all you should go for any bachelor's degree and if you are thinking for engineering then you may go for it and then you apply for this examination
You should begin your preparation from now because making your base strong is better for you and if you will study continuously then you may easily get good command over the subjects of this examination which may help you out in the preparation and qualifying civil service examination and second profit of completing this degree is that you can apply for engineering service, forest service, defense service exams also
All the best
