Dear friend,surely an appointed officer except ias and ips can reappear in the upsc exam..

It is the choice of appointed officer if he thinks reappearing in cs is good/beneficial then he/she can re-appear as per norms through proper channel.and for this he/she must not get any privilege fron the present service.all rules to be followed as good as an new candidate follow.ok

Yes, an already appointed officer can definitely appear for the exam again if he/she wants to upgrade their post.

The same guidelines have to be followed the next time as well, means that, the same set of rules are applicable for the 2nd attempt as well..
