    How to become a Gazetted Officer through UPSC? At present I am studying 3rd year Civil Engineering.

    This UPSC conducts many exams in those which exam we have to choose for gazetted officer?

    sir i am 3rd yr civil engineering i am very interested to become a gazetted officer i saw your website but i didnt understand which exam should choose for gazetted officer correctly? plz reply me as early as possible ur ans is very important for me plzzzzzzzzz........

    Hello Dear,

    To become a Gazetted Officer UPSC civil services exam are the best exam. after completing your engineering you are eligible for this exam. final year appearing candidate are also eligible for this exam.
    Eligibility Criteria is

    should be graduate from a recognized university in any stream
    (marks or percentage doesn't matter)

    age should be 21 to 30 years
    age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years
    age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

    nationality- Indian

    number of attempts-

    general candidate- 4
    OBC- 7
    SC/ST- no limit

    Hi Aspirant,

    All the officer of grade A is called gazetted officer. UPSC conducts various exams to be a gazette officer.

    You can apply for civil Service exam, Indian Forest Service exam and Engineering Service exam for the gazetted post. These all exam are belonging to Grade A post.

    As you mentioned that you are in 3rd year of engineering so you can�t apply for any exam of UPSC now.

    But in final year of engineering you can apply for each exam. Here I write the eligibility criteria for each exam.

    Eligibility for Civil service and IFS exam

    Candidates should be graduated in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

    You can also apply in final year of graduation.

    Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Age relaxation for SC/ST + 5 years and for OBC + 3 years

    You must be the citizen of India.


    Eligibility for IES exam

    Candidates should have technical degree in any stream from discipline university or its equivalent.

    You can apply for IES exam through following department

    Civil

    Mechanical

    Electrical

    Electronics and Telecommunication

    You must be in age of 21 to 30 years.

    Age relaxation

    OBC + 3 years

    PH + 10 years

    SC/ST + 5 years

    You must be the citizen of India.


    The notification for these exams will be updated at UPSC official website as well as employment newspaper soon. You can apply in next year 2013.

    hello,


    after complete your engineering you can apply for UPSC EXAM.

    final year students can also apply but at the interview time you should have to collect your all documents.


    QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:-


    final year appearing/ complete graduation from the recognized university.


    AGE LIMITS:-

    general = 21 to 30 years

    obc = 3 years relaxation

    sc/st = 5 years relaxation

    Yes, you can be the Gazetted after competition of our Graduation and qualifying the examinations conducted by UPSC.
    Some Grade A posts which are suitable for your Civil engineering graduation are:

    >>>Indian Engineering Services:
    You may apply these examination after competition of your Civil engineering and also Final year also.
    Notification may be released in the month of March/April of every year.

    >>>Civil Services:
    Being Final year of after competition of Graduation is the minimum required educational qualification to apply.
    Notification may be released in the month of February/March of every year.

    -->Age limits:
    General-21 to 30 years and 4 attempts only.
    OBC-21 to 33 years and 7 attempts only.
    SC/ST 21 to 35 years and unlimited attempts.

    UPSC conducted various exam to be a gazette officer.

    You can apply for civil service exam after complete your degree. You can apply this time also.

    Criteria is given below:

    Age Limitation:

    For General candidate should be between 21-30 years
    For OBC Candidate should be between 21-33 years
    For SC/ST Candidate should be between 21-35 years

    Educational Qualification:

    For Civil Services And IFS Exam : Candidate must be graduate any stream from any recognized university.
