Is a 36 year old Short Service Commissioned officer eligible for UPSC Civil Services Exam?

I am 36 yrs olld; OBC + 5 Yrs Short service Commissioned Officer. Am I eligible for UPSC Civil Services??

sorry sir,you can not give upsc civil service exam.

reason=1)age required is 21-30 years

2)for OBC candidate,relaxation age is 3 years so =33 years

3)for ex-service men,relaxation age is 5 years so=35 years

you had crossed the required civil service age limit

but still you can continue with your current job as short service commissioned officer (ssc),as for ssc ,the minimum year of service is 15 years,and you had completed just 5 years

so long journey you had to travel in as ssc
