Well dear custom officers are recruited through civil services exam.to to become a custom officer you have to clear civil services exam.civil service exam is conducted every year by upsc.
ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL EXAM:
<>you must have done your graduation from a recognised university.
<>age limit:
general-21 to 30 years
obc-21 to 33 years
sc/st-21 to 35 years

PROCEDURES TO GET JOB IN CUSTOM DEPT:
**Applicant's to appear UPSC IRS(Indian Revenue services).This entrance exam.id conducted by UPSC every year.This is one of the part of Civil Services.
IRS ELIGIBILITY:-
1.A Graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized /approved University in any discipline can write IRS exam.
2.AGE: General: 21-30 years, OBC: 21-33 years, S/C S/T: 5 years, PWD: 10 years.
3.Nationality: Indian.
4.Attempts: General: 4 attempts, OBC: 7 attempts. S/C S/T: No limit.
To become a custom officer you are to go through UPSC IRS entrance exam, so that you should follow procedures

Customs department is very good from the carrier point of view. Customs and excise department post comes under Civil Services IRS exam.
where acronym IRS is Indian Revenue Services.
Civil Services Exam is conducted by UPSC every year.
for Civil Services you must have graduation degree in any discipline from recognized college or university. There is also no barrier regarding the percentage in your graduation. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.
and you must have attained the minimum age of 21 years on 1 August of the year of exam and you must no have attained maximum age of 30 years on same date. UPSC also provide relaxation in upper age limit according to government norms as per 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
