I.M.A means Indian Military Academy.
But female candidates are not eligible for the examination.
It is only for unmarried male candidates.

INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY, 2012:-

-- Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam.
-- You must be Indian citizen.
-- Candidates must not born earlier than 2ND January 1989 and not after 1ST January 1994.
-- Candidates must be a degree holder from recognized board.

But you can apply for O.T.A. , 2012.

Officers Training Academy(O.T.A.), 2012:-

-- Both men & women are eligible to apply for the test.
-- Candidates must not born earlier than 2ND January 1988 and not later than 1 January 1994.
-- Candidate must be a graduate degree holder to apply in test.
-- Candidate must be physically fit.

You can apply for Online or Offline mode.

Women can join army through CDS. First u have to clear a written exam and then interview.

i appreciate your decision regarding join ima but it is sorry to say that the female candidate can not apply for the ima.
Apart from this a women can go for nda and ota.
For joining the nda or ota the female candidate have to apply through the central defense service exam.

Required educational qualification for the nda candidate must have science stream in +2 class.

for this you need to crack CDS ENTRANCE EXAM WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC 2 TIME IN A YEAR


age limit=19-24 years

gender=male or female

educational qualification=any bachelor degree with 60% minimum of marks

should have indian citizenship

Eligibility Criteria for I.M.A :-

Age should be between 19 years and 24 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Graduation in any desire subject from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.
