For all exams except IAS, IFS & IES physical standards are essential.
Physical standard required are:
- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease
- The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5 cms. For Women candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
- There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.
- The hearing should be normal
- A male candidate should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye with or without glasses. For women candidates the minimum acceptable visual acuity are Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18.
- A candidate should be able to recognise red and green colours
For Applying In IES you should be an Engineering graduate from EC, Civil,Mech & EE branches only.
IAS is a part of Civil Services Exam.
Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam
-You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute.
-You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year.
-UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage.
-Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years.
-You must be a citizen of India.

-Educational Qualification
A graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India. Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear.
For IFS required eligibility are:
-graduation in any of the Science subjects, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Geology, Maths or Statistics, Agriculture or Forestry
