For joining IMA you can apply for Common Defense Service & NDA
Physical standard required are:
- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease
- The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5 cms. For Women candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
- There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.
- The hearing should be normal
- A male candidate should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye with or without glasses. For women candidates the minimum acceptable visual acuity are Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18.
- A candidate should be able to recognise red and green colours
Since your father is also in army you will get the benefit during short -listing of candidates after interview.

since u want only army IMA and you have passed 10+2 , you are eligible to apply for NDA with first choice as army and through TES ( technical entry scheme ) .
NDA = it is conducted twice a year and admission is through entrance exams only. merit listed candidates are eligible and will receive call letter for SSB's . passing in ssb takes u to the IMA
TES ARMY = it is also conducted twice a year but depend upon your 10th and 12th PCM cutoff marks , candidates of above 80% are only eligible . the eligible candidates will receive call letter for attending SSB . the advantage is there is no need of entrance exams for this type of entry

10+2 candidate can appear in NDA-I,II & TECHNICAL entry scheme (minimum in PCM=70 % or above)
to opt. the IMA in priority from among the avialable option's .
NDA conducted bi-annually whereas TES conducted once in a year.
THERE is no such benefits to you being a ward of serving/retired army personal of any category however you got 5 marks to your ssb toatl if your dad possesses any GALLANTRY AWARD.
