sir,myself Barkha Rani...I'm pursuing my b.tech from Bengal college of engineering and technology for women...my stream is CSE..i want to join Civil services..I m from science background ..can i apply for this??..plz give me the details...regarding this..how many papers i hv to study...??how many chances i will get for this...??what is the eligilibilty criteria for joining this??Is it necessary to join coaching classes for preparation??if yes,suggest me the best instituition ....and also tell me how i will prepare for this...nd how to get into this??plz provide all the details as soon as possible...so that i can start my preparation right from the beginning........

yes, u can definatly apply for civil services after in any background.

there is 100% chance to get in CSE if u have come under following criteria.

1. if u are graduate from any fields by any recognised university.

2. ur age should be between 21 to 30 if u r from open catagoire otherwise 34.

3. u must be indian cetizen...

u can start ur prepartion from basic introduction os indian and indian constitution is must be clear and also history and maths and apptitude for that u have so many website.

* for best institute u have to visit any profesor that know about this type of exmination.

u have to read standard book of indian government that is STD 5 to 12 's history and maths books that is best materials for u.

Yes you are eligible for the exam as anyone who is a graduate from recognized university can apply for it and you can do it at www.upsconline.nic.in and the other crieteria is as follows:

* Age limit 21-30 yrs..

1.For general 4 attempts..

2.For obc 7 attempts...

3.For sc/st no limit..
