Yes you can chose forestry as your main subject for the mains because forestry is included in the list of the main subjects that are available for the upsc. And as far as your b.tech is concerned, it is not cumpolsary that your graduation subjects is must for the mains. You can chose any subject and that may be irrelevant to the field.
