    Dear Applicant,
-Being a student of Mechanical Engineering,Its an excellent decision by you to opt for MECHANICAL ENGINEERING and INDIAN HISTORY in the Mains exam of the Civil Services.
-It will do prove FRUITFUL for you.
-INDIAN HISTORY has been chosen by much of the candidates appearing for these exams, since long. The success rate of this subject is much better when compared to the others. No doubt it has been very scoring, because of the exact data in hand.
Added to this, the subject is also asked about a lot in the Preliminary Exams. This would save a lot of time for preparations too.
You having interest in this subject is a bonus to this.
-On the other hand,MECHANICAL ENGINEERING being your subject for a period of Four years, prepare to its depth.Avoid selective study and get the contents set in your mind.
-If you prepare these subjects well, then there is no reason why you won't do well a the optional subjects carry as much as 1200 Marks.
-Another thing to keep in mind is that improve your writing skills. Most of the pattern being subjective, your writing will determine your score.
Therefore get rid of your grammatical and spelling mistakes.
-Practice a lot of model papers and work hard.
    All The Best.
