    Can I go for IAS exams after completing B.Com from School of Open Learning, Delhi University? If yes, what is the percentage required in it?

    Please tell me can i go for IAS exams after clearing B.COM from School of Open Learning,Delhi University? If Yes, then please tell the % required also?

    Hello,

    Yes , you can apply for IAS exam , but not this year as 2013 exam is already taking place now , but you can apply next year for sure being studied via distance mode .There is no such percentage criteria , but still as in general it should be at least 50% in any discipline .

    There is an age limit , that you must know , these are as follows :

    For General : 21-30 years
    For OBC : 21-33 years
    For SC/ST : 21-35 years .

    There is also limitation regarding attempts , these are :

    For General : 4 attempts

    For OBC : 7 attempts

    For Sc/ST : No limitation

    yes dear you can definitely apply for ias examination after completing b.com from school of open learning, Delhi University. since the qualification required for civil services examination is a graduation in any field from an ugc recognised university. there is no limit for percentage in civil services exam you need to pass the graduation with any percent marks.

    DearThe eligibility criteria for IAS is :1.You must be a Indian Citizen.2.You must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st august of the year of exam and must not have exceeded 30 years of age.However age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ST/PD category.3.You must a minimum graduate from any recognised university. The number of attempts is >>unlimited for SC/ST/PD.>>,7 for OBC category,and>>4 for General categoryThere is no such provision that open university students are not eligible for IAS.You should pass your graduation with minimum 2nd division.Thank You and best of luck.

    yes, definitely you can apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC for the post of IAS. UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam every year. and your graduation is definitely valid for exam. So you just need to concentrate on preparation for the exam.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    you need just passing marks in these exam.



    LET SEE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

    * you must be passed graduate with any stream or subject from the recognized university.

    * age should be 20 to 30 years.

    * age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.

    * you must be indian.


    LIMIT OF ATTEMPTS:-

    * general = 4 times

    * obc = 7 times

    * sc/st = no limits.

    Yes definitely you can go for IAS Exams after completing B.Com from open learning Delhi university.
    You have to apply for Civil Services Exam Since Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

    There are some eligibility criteria you have to satisfy to appear for Civil Services Exam:
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year degree students are also eligible
    The age limit is 21-30 yrs
    The maximum number of attempts for General category is 4
    The candidate should be Indian
