ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR I.P.S STUDENT:-
Educational Qualification:-
A candidate must have a bachelor�s degree from a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Geology, Statistics and Zoology Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Age limit:-
The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years & must not be more than 30 years.
For lower caste candidates Upper age limit is some what relaxed.
For SC/ST candidates 5 years of relaxation, For O.B.C. candidates 3 years of relaxation are given.
Number of Attempts
Four attempts for open category,
Seven for O.B.C candidates
Unlimited for SC/ST candidates

OF COURSE YOU CAN FILL UP THE FORM OF UPSC IPS EXAMINATION. WHEN YOU ARE APPEARING IN FINAL YEAR EXAM OF YOUR UNIVERSITY YOU CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE IPS EXAM.
For IAS/IPS exams you can get the job of Indian Administrative Service like DC Deputy Collector or DM deputy Magistrate and for IPS you can get Superintendent Of Police i.e. SP etc.
The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.
FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE THE SUBJECTS.
I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.
After that you have to go for the Question Pattern of Exam so you should download and print Previous Years Question Papers from www.upsc.gov.in
Model Test Papers and Sample Papers are most important for Practice.

Hi friend...You have to be a graduate to sit for this exam.So you have to complete B.A.The eligibility criteria are :
a)You must be a graduate from e recognized university
b)Aged 21-30yrs(5yrs relaxation for SC/STs and 3yrs for OBCs)
c)Must be a citizen of India,Nepal or Bhutan

-The aspirant should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university
-Final year student can also allowed for the exam
-But the age should be between 21-30
-Relaxation given to the sc/st of 5 years and for the obc 3 years
