Hello Dear
As a B.Tech. student after your graduation you can have two main career paths by UPSC listed below :
1) Engineering Services Exam (IES)
Eligibility :A degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. M.Sc Degree . age 21-30 years
2) Civil Services Exam (IAS)
Eligibility :A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
age 21-30 years
Both Exams require different set of Skills and Knowledge. So you should first decide what you are passionate for and then work accordingly. As you are in first year so at present you should focus on your study ( Basic courses for 1st and 2nd semester) and side wise do keep an eye on current events and latest updates.
Good Luck.
hello friend....In any UPSC exam there should be need graduation .Currently you are studying b.tech 1st yea..It is possible to prepare for UPSC exam from now onwards itself but on otherhand you must be able to all clear the engineering subjects. It is some tough to prepare for both sides so first of all concentrate on your engineering and get the degree after that you are known to be a graduate...Then you are eligible for any competitive exam including UPSC.My suggestion is do not prepare for both exams at the same time......It is better to you and your good career also any way all the best my friend....good luck
