The standard of paper for Elementary Mathematics will be of matriculation level. So, you can score more in it.

yes you can join indian army after getting even 48.4% in b.sc because upsc requires graduated candidate it doesn't matter how much percentage you got. so you just need to clear the upsc exam in order to join indian army . good luck

in order to join Indian army you just have to crack the exam of cds
for that you have to follow some criteria
the criteria as follows:-
for this exam you should be a citizen of india
you should a bachelors degree holder
your age should be in between 19-25
your height should be 157cms

indian army directly open the vacancies then u are not eligible for the exam because they demand the 60% marks in the graduation with pcm
Indian Army Eligibility Criteria :-
Aspirant should have a completed degree with any desire subject from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and there is no minimum marks required for this examination . Those who are appearing in the final year of graduate degree can also eligible Or awaiting the exam results may also eligible to apply But pre-final year candidates may not eligible to apply for NDA examination . Percentage is not matter for this examination and pass marks is enough to appear for this examination .
Aspirant should not more than 24 years and less than 19 years at the time of appearing for the examination (i.e born not earlier than 2nd July 1989 and not later than 1st July , 1994 are eligible to apply for this examination . There is no upper age limits required for this examination .
Unmarried male candidate are eligible to apply for this examination and female candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination .
CDS II notificaiton was already out on 02/06/12 and last date of receipt of application on 02/07/12 .
The examination will be held on 16/09/12 .

upsc has relieved its aspirants by removing the percentage bar from the eligibility criteria of all the exam of upsc.so your percentage do not matter for your application for upsc cds exam.for this exam you need to be graduate in any stream from a recognized university within the age limit 19-25 years .
if you are applying for IMA(Indian Military Academy) or OTA(Officer's Training Academy) you should have passed Graduation from a recognized university and if you are applying for the Indian Air Force Exam you need to pass in Graduation With Physics or Maths as subjects.

According to your current percentage marks you can apply for combined defense service exam and you are also eligible for Indian Army exams and can apply for Indian army but your age should not be more than 25 years and less than 21 years for both CDS and Indian army and your degree should be from a recognized university.

The CDS exam is conducted by UPSC,and when it comes to UPSC,the percentage is never a issue.You are very much applicable for applying in the CDS exam.
The graduation degree is necessary to apply for the CDS exam with only pass marks and you have that,hence you are applicable.
