Sorry Friend You can't apply this examination because Indian Navy have to recruit only Engineering Graduates so you can't apply this examination. But you can apply CDS IMA Exam. If You apply IMA You Have the Below Eligibility Criteria's

CDS IMA Stands for Indian Military Academy this exam is conducted by Union public Service Commission and this exam is conducted by twice per year.

>>The Applicant should be complete the bachelor Degree in recognized university and pursuing final year students also eligible for this examination and there is no minimum percentage of mark for this examination .

>>The Applicant age limit should between 19 to 24 years and there is no age relaxation is applicable.

>>The Applicant should be Citizen Of India.

>>The Applicant Should be Physically fit For this examination.

Indian Military Academy Exam Pattern:-

Yes you can apply for the exam as the eligibility for it :

*You have done graduation from recognized university.

*Age limit 19-25 yrs..

Eligibility for CDS Examination - Indian Navy Section

Candidate must have completed his/her bachelor's degree in engineering as - BE or B.Tech in any discipline from a recognized university/institute and if he/she is pursuing final year of engineering degree then also may apply for this examination conducted by UPSC board

Dear if you are a commerce student and have completed your bachelor's degree in Commerce stream then you are not eligible to apply for Indian Navy Section under CDS exam but you may apply for following other exams under UPSC

UPSC CDS - Indian Military Academy : A bachelor's degree and age should be between 19-24 years

UPSC civil service examination : Should posses a bachelor's degree in any stream and age must be between 21-30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs

UPSC CPF - Central Police Force - Assistant Commandant Examination : A bachelor's degree or pursuing final year in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 20 years and more than 25 years and relaxation in upper age follows same as mentioned above

UPSC IPS - Indian Police Service Examination : Bachelor's degree in any discipline and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years

Presently UPSC board accepting online applications for civil service examination and you can apply for this exam between - 05-03-2013 to 04-04-2013 at www.upsc.gov.in

Being a commerce Graduate you cannot Join Indian Navy through CDS.
CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.
Yes, you can write CDS exam but to join Indian Army only but not Indian Navy.
To join Indian Navy you need to have Science stream in your Graduation with the age limit of 19-22 years and you should Single Male citizen

You must have a minimum of 19 years

So as you are from the commerce filed..

No you can not join Indian Navy through CDS from commerce background.You can apply for SSC exam conducted by Indian Navy where you can apply for Navy but that will be for logistics etc departments.Through CDS,Navy generally recryuits candidates for Technical posts which comprises of B.tech candidates.So you have to check the website of Indian Navy for their direct recruitment of commerce graduates but not through CDS.You can check the website of Navy at nausena-bharti.nic.in

Eligibility;-

1)you must be padded a graduation degree from a recognized university.

2)Age limit 19-23 years.

3)You must be Indian citizen and physically fit.

You have to given written exam od CDS exam .I f you clear this exam,then you will be called SSB interview.

Hi dear

Sorry!! through CDS Exam you can not join Indian Navy.

Your academic qualification does not satisfy Minimum Eligibility criteria of CDS Naval Academy.

However you can still serve the nation by joining Defence through CDS IMA and OTA.

The detailed eligibility criteria for the Exam is:

(i) For IMA and OTA : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering

Age limits:

For IMA 19 - 24 years
For NA 19 - 22 years
For AFA 19 - 23 year
For OTA 19 - 25 years

So you still have a chance through CDS Indian Military Academy.
